Leave It to Cleavage

Breastfeeding

Happy World Breastfeeding Week! I'm celebrating by making colostrum.

What's it all about? Take it away, World Health Organization:
World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year from 1 to 7 August in more than 170 countries to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world. It commemorates the Innocenti Declaration made by WHO and UNICEF policy-makers in August 1990 to protect, promote and support breastfeeding.
I heart the WHO, and its recommendations for breastfeeding. And even though I didn't so much love breastfeeding while I was doing it, looking back it doesn't seem one tenth as miserable as I thought it was.

In fact, I have total nurstalgia right now, and I'm really looking forward to breastfeeding my daughter.

High five to the WHO and their love of boobies. I cited them every single time someone said, "You're STILL breastfeeding?" Because they think that 2 yrs and beyond is just dandy.
