Family Resemblance

Dad's Lap
Rob and Westley, April 2008

"Mommy, do you think your baby will look like you or like me?"

"Well, [stifling a laugh] I don't really know. What do you think, Westley?"

"I think it will look like me!"

"Maybe. You were a very cute baby. I was thinking the baby would probably look like Daddy—"

"I think the baby will look like me. Because I'm the big brother."

Ha! So cute. It is so adorable to watch your older child's excitement over the new addition. My son is beside himself with excitement at all of the things he will show his baby brother. He will be 3.5 when this new one is born (June)and has already informed me that he will teach him "how to poop" when he comes. I am pretty sure he will have that one down from the start, though.

What a sweety! It was something I spent a lot of time wondering when I was pregnant... will this baby look like me? As it turns out not so much- more like my husband so far which seems very unfair! Can't go wrond with looking like an older brother (and a cute one) though.

That is absolutely adorable. From all of your posts it sounds like he is going to be such a loving and good big brother. I'm sure there will be challenges like with any big change, but I think you are going to have quite the sweet pair on your hands. :)

I am anxiously awaiting to see what the girl version of Westley looks like!

When I was pregnant with Audrey, I imagined a girl-Julian. Long curly blonde hair, and blue eyes. Um, no. She couldn't be further from that image in my head. But what I am told a lot is that she doesn't look specifically like Wade or me, but she does look just like Julian. A brown version of Julian.

Like Allison...I really hope my 2nd looks like Alexa. Alexa doesn't really look like either Peter or I, I mean she has features that she shares with both of us, but she looks like her. Kinda hope the same holds true for her sister :-)

Adorable! The little girl version of Westley would be heartbreakingly cute!

We joke that our Ezra looks like we stole him, as his coloring is a generation removed. We are both dark featured, so red hair, fair skin, and blue eyes was definitely not what we were imagining when I was pregnant. Oh, my ginger boy! Such a lovely surprise!
